OER Workshop

This course provides an introduction to Open Educational Resources (OER) and their potential impact on teaching and learning. You will learn about the benefits of using OER, how to find and evaluate OER materials, and how to incorporate them into their teaching practices. The course will cover topics such as copyright and licensing, open licensing, Creative Commons, and OER repositories. You will also have the opportunity to create and share their own OER materials.

This Moodle course serves as a digital hub for participants to further explore and engage with the concepts introduced during the in-person workshop. Whether you attended the live session or are accessing this course independently, this online component aims to provide ongoing support, resources, and a platform for collaboration.

On the successful completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

    1. discuss why  education technology is important in teaching and learning;
    2. list and discuss three models for integrating technology into your classroom; and
    3. start to plan/design and implement the integration of education technology in your classroom.
